Love is most easily recognized by the fact that it does not idealize a partner but is a conscious choice. Love starts when infatuation ends and a true partnership in life appears. That is why we can define such love as partner love. True love means that we prioritize the needs of the other person because making his or her happy is the most important thing to us. Obviously, one can not completely sacrifice oneself, as mature love requires accepting oneself and one's partner equally. Being dependent on someone in a relationship is not true love. 

            Love can also be defined in carnal terms, as an intimate relationship between two people, but we will not go into the details of this meaning.
